COOLING/HEATING SYSTEM UTILIZING RADIATION AND CONVECTION

PURPOSE: A cooling/heating system to achieve a comfort indoor environment by cooling/heating the indoor area through the use of air flow supplied from the ceiling or wall of a room, and conduction and radiation of the heat generated from the floor. CONSTITUTION: A cooling/heating system comprises a heat source(10) installed in the outdoor area and which generates cold or hot water; a first guide pipe(12,14) for guiding the cold or hot water generated from the heat source to circulate through the floor of the room; a first heat exchange unit(16,18) connected to the first guide pipe and buried within the floor of the room; a second guide pipe(20,22) for guiding the cold or hot water generated from the heat source to circulate through the wall of ceiling of the room; a second heat exchange unit(24,26) connected to the second guide pipe and installed inside of the room; a sensor(32,34) for sensing the temperature of indoor area; and a controller(36) for receiving signals output from the sensor, and controlling flow of the cold or hot water generated from the heat source and speed of the fan arranged within the second heat exchange unit in accordance with the received signals.
