PURPOSE: A multi-layer optical disc and a method for driving the same are provided to improve recording and playing capacity by using reflectance information. CONSTITUTION: A multi-layer optical disc including a plurality of recording layer includes reflectance information relative to other recording layers on a specific area of a part of recording layers or all recording layers of a disc. The recording layer is formatted by two different types. The relative reflectance information of the other recording layer of different format is included on the specific area of the recording layer of a present position on the basis of a waveform corresponding to the present recording layer. The specific area is a lead-in area. The reflectance information is expressed as the relative reflectance when the reflectance of the recording layer of the present position is expressed as 1. A recording process or a playing process is performed according to the reflectance information. |
