Method of manufacturing a self-adhesive fastener

A self-adhesive part for a hook and loop fastener has a coating of pressure-sensitive adhesive applied to the back face of the base material, for adhering the part to a substrate. The adhesive is water based and is applied as a plurality of coats, and dried between successive coats. This reduces the overall drying time without impairing performance.
