PURPOSE: A system for storing to DVD capable of being read by a computer of contents using a network is provided to update a database from time to time by downloading contents not stored in a currently used database through a main server connected through a network in accordance with a user's request. CONSTITUTION: A server unit(100) includes a main server(100a) storing all contents including newly created contents and compressing contents wanted by a storing device unit(200A) as an MPEG2 method and transmitting the contents as a DVD file through an exclusive line(250) and managing statistics data with respect to contents supplied to a user from the storing device unit(200A). In addition, the server unit(100) includes a plurality of supporting servers(100b,100c) providing and managing contents necessary for the main server(100a) according to fields. The elements of the storing device unit(200A) are described as follows. An I/O module(30) downloads a DVD file compressing contents transmitted from the main server(100a) or requests a user-wanted moving picture to the main server(100a). A DVD decoder(35) releases a compression of the DVD file to a MPEG file. A database unit(10) stores a plurality of contents to be supplied to a user as an ODBC(open database connectivity) method. A display unit(20) displays a plurality of contents being stored in the database unit(10). In addition, a key input unit(5), a touch screen unit(45), a digital camcorder(50), an image memory unit(40), a DVD-recorder(15), and a control unit(25) are provided.
