摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ordered packing, which is manufactured with a more economical material than metal fibers and has more excellent wettability than already-known metallic foil or rib mesh. SOLUTION: This ordered column packing comprises a foil-shaped material 1 surrounding a flow channel 1, and the foil-shaped material has a packing layer-shaped fine structure 10. The foil-shaped material has a profile comprising a recessed structural element (3b, minus mark-) and a protruded structural element (3a, plus mark+) which are arranged alternately. There is a mean distance (a) between the neighboring recessed and protruded structural elements. The mean distance (a) is sufficiently smaller than a distance between the center lines 20 of the neighboring flow channels. The foil-shaped material has a second fine structure comprising pores 5 arranged regularly. A mean distance (b) between the centers of the neighboring pores is smaller than the mean distance (a), and preferably smaller than it by at least 50%. The edge 51 or 52 of the pores has a shape comprising a recessed area 6a or a protruded area 6b.
