PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide at a low price a new organism-collecting device which has excellent work efficiency and can inhibit the clogging of a filter. SOLUTION: This organism-collecting device characterized by comprising an integrally molded resin housing having a filter-receiving portion 24, a funnel- loading portion 25 disposed on the outside of the filter-receiving portion 24 at a slightly higher level, a surrounding wall 26 for surrounding the funnel- loading portion 25, and a drain port 28 opened in the filter-receiving portion 24, a membrane filter 30 received in the filter-receiving portion 24 of the housing to collect target microorganisms in a specimen, a paper funnel 33 having a bottom surface 35 which acts as a prefilter for collecting food residues and microorganisms having coarser particle sizes than that of the target microorganisms in the specimen, and a resin seal ring 22 which is loaded on the funnel-loading portion 25 of the housing in a state fit to the bottom face- surrounding portion 36 of the paper funnel and fit to the surrounding wall to attach the paper funnel in a liquid-tight state.
