The evacuated space 4 between the double walls 2, 3 of a liquefied gas vessel 1 contains a heat reflecting screen 5 and a bed of active charcoal 7, and the neck 9 of the vesselhas a collar 10 having an internal groove from which extends a gas discharge tube 11 and which is closed by a hollow bush 12 charged with heat insulating material in which is embedded a valve 14 set on a liquid withdrawal tube 13 sheathed by a tubular extension 20 of the bush 12, and the assembly is supported on a pneumatic balance comprising a bellows 23 and monometer 25. The walls 2, 3 are held fixed relatively to each other by a plug and socket 8, 8a.</p> |
