PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin composition having a high weather resistance, an excellent hardness, a high heat resistance and an excellent/surface stain-proof property for various kinds of substrates and also is excellent in durabilities of the properties, and to provide a resin composition for coating. SOLUTION: The resin is provided by copolymerization of a (a1) poly dialkyl siloxane having at least one ethylenic unsaturated group per molecule, an (a2) organopoly silsesquioxane, an (a3) alkoxy silane having an ethylenic unsaturated group and a (a4) compound having an ethylenic unsaturated group [however, (a1), (a2) or (a3) is excepted]. The resin composition for coating is provided by containing the resin (A), the curing accelerator (B) and the organosilicate.
