PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the rigidity of a bend in case of forming the bend on an impact beam when there is an interference in a door or a step between mutual fixing parts of the impact beam. SOLUTION: Brackets 7 and 8 at both sides of a beam body 6 are provided. Crank shaped bends 10 and 11 on at least a place of the beam body 6 are formed and the distance L0 between the bending R of the bends 10 and 11 is minimized in the axial direction of the beam body 6.
