The stackable building system comprises a number of standard building components (1) stackable to form a wall. Each component is provided with parallel, longitudinal extending side walls (2,5). At the top, the side walls are connected to each other by an upper wall (4). The upper wall extends vertically on the side walls and on it a ridge (5) extends longitudinally. The side and upper walls limit a space (6) with such dimensions that the ridge of the main building component beneath fits into it, so that by stacking a number of components together a very stable wall can be created and the side walls of such components connect to each other. The height of the ridge in each case is equall to the height of the side walls minus the thickness of the upper wall.
