PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for printing which is able to deal with the generation of a service call error on a condition preferable to a user. SOLUTION: A device for printing initiates a starting treatment (step S208) which must be performed at the time of electric power connection when the service call error detected is the error which is automatically returnable soft wear like (step S205: YES). The device for printing also records the name of a job which has generated the service error and an error page information (step S203).
