PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an method for reinforcing a hollow structure by easily connecting a plurality of split reinforcing bodies together for constituting the reinforcing apparatus. SOLUTION: This reinforcing apparatus 10 extended in the longitudinal direction of a hollow chamber 6 in the hollow structure 1 and mounted in the hollow chamber 6 for reinforcing the hollow structure is principally constructed of split reinforcing bodies 11, 21 split into a plurality of bodies in the cross sectional plane. Connecting members 30 are interposed between a plurality of split bodies 11, 21, and the connecting member 30 is formed of thermosetting resin connecting the plurality of split bodies 11, 12 integrally by thermal hardening. The connecting member 30 is provided with adhesiveness sticking a plurality of split reinforcing members 11, 12 in a temporarily locked condition before thermal hardening. |
