PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic resonance imaging instrument having an RF coil or a coil similar thereto wherein bias electric current of a disable circuit does not undesirably affect a static magnetic field. SOLUTION: In the RF coil in which a disable circuit which is obtained by connecting the serial circuit of an inductor and that of a diode in parallel to a capacitor is serially connected to coil loops (182, 182', 192, 192'), a DC biased supply route for the diode is formed by connecting the points where RF potentials (a, a', b, b') are respectively equivalent to those in the coil loops with the RF choke circuits 602, 610.
