PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a release film which shows excellence in both releasability and mechanical properties such as tensile elongation and the like, further shows excellence in heat resistance and environmental aptitude and is usable for manufacturing a printed board and the like. SOLUTION: A release film is composed of one or more layers and is 25 to 300μm thick, wherein at least one surface layer contains a styrene-based polymer having a syndiotactic structure as a major component and its glossiness is less than 100%.
