PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tool holder devised so that an overall surface of an outer peripheral surface 10a of a shank part 10 on a main body 6 makes contact with an overall surface of an inner peripheral surface 3a of a tapered hole 3 and both of them rotate in an integrated state even when the side of an opening part 8 of a spindle 2 receives work of centrifugal force and extends in the case of rotating the spindle 2 at high rotating speed suitable for working. SOLUTION: An inclined shape of the outer peripheral surface 10a of the shank part is made larger inclination than inclination of the tapered hole so that an outer peripheral surface 10c of the shank part makes closely contact with an inner peripheral surface 3C on the side near to the opening part 8 on the tapered hole, but an outer peripheral surface 10b of the deep part side of the shank part is separated with a clearance from an inner peripheral surface 3b on the deep part side on the tapered hole or it comes to be in a degree to make lightly contact with it in a state before rotation when the shank part 3 is finished installing on the tapered hole 3.
