PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multilayer compact container of different layers in an easy way at a low cost by hinge connecting the desired number of midcasings in order of piled up condition and by using fewer kind of common parts, with respect to a combination of receptacle body and a lid casing of the compact container connected by hinges. SOLUTION: Between the receptacle casing 1 and the lid casing 2 which are connected by hinges and makes up the compact container, desired number of midcasings 3, which have the same hinge function sections 4 and engagingly hooking function sections 7 as the receptacle casing 1 and the lid casing 2, are provided in the piled up condition and are hinge connected between each upper and lower casing, and by forming desired number of housing sections in the midcasings 3, that is by increase and decrease of basically single structured midcasings 3, increase and decrease in layers of the multilayer compact container are accomplished easily, swiftly, and in a low cost.
