PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a divided medium scarcely causing hemolysis or discoloration due to mutural permeation of medium components between several kinds of media, easily workable in its fabrication, easily automatable in such working, smoothly performable in the streak coating of a test material, having no fear of dispersing bacteria and automatable in streak coating operation. SOLUTION: This divided medium 20 has such a construction as to have slender dividing part(s) 14 to divide the inside of a petri dish main body 12 into several divisions 16a and 16b at the inside bottom of the petri dish main body 12, put different kinds of media 22a and 22b into the respective sections so as to be higher in their thickness than the height of the dividing part(s) and join the upper sides of the respective media at just above the tip of the dividing part(s) along the dividing part(s) to each other.
