PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an enteric coated food capable of delivering an orally ingested substance into the intestines without causing cracks, etc., prior to the ingestion and without disintegrating the food in the stomach when a protein powder extracted and refined from corn is used as a membrane material and to provide a method for producing the enteric coated food. SOLUTION: This enteric coated food is characterized by coating the objective substance comprising a tablet or a grain of an edible substance containing the orally ingested substance preferably reaching the interior of the intestines without contacting a gastric juice or an enteric capsule filled with the edible substance with a membrane prepared by dispersing small amounts of glycerol, an edible oil and a surfactant in the protein powder extracted and refined from the corn and having a sparing solubility in the stomach and enteric properties. The amount of the protein powder in the membrane is >=1 wt.% based on the objective substance. |
