METHOD FOR PRODUCING AQUEOUS DISPERSION OF POLYESTER RESIN

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing aqueous dispersion of a polyester resin having excellent dispersion stability on standing, without using organic solvent. SOLUTION: This method comprises the step of dispersing a polyester resin into an aqueous dispersion medium comprising an ethylene oxide-propylene oxide copolymer having weight average molecular weight of at least 4,000, wherein the content of the ethylene oxide-propylene oxide copolymer in the aqueous dispersion medium is set at 3 to 50 pts.wt. to 100 pts.wt. of the polyester resin. The aqueous dispersion medium used here may further include nonionic surface active agent the content of which is set at 0.5 to 20 pts.wt. to 100 pts.wt. of the polyester resin.
