PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the image quality by preventing color mixture among pixels or blurring of an ink in the case of imaging on an image receiving member by ejecting a plurality of inks with the mixing ratio thereof varied depending on an image signal for improving the ink supply pump efficiency and enabling the miniaturization thereof and a small capacity of a driving circuit. SOLUTION: This device comprises an ink channel with one end opened to an ink ejection opening, a segment flow supply means for supplying a segment flow including a liquid segment and a gas segment, provided by segmenting a carrier ink not for imaging by a gas to the other end of the ink channel, an ink supply pump to join the ink channel for providing a color ink for substantially imaging after drying, to the liquid segment, and a control part for controlling the ink supply pump so as to provide the color ink to the liquid segment at the joining part of the ink supply pump with respect to the ink channel as well as to replenish the color ink at the time the gas segment is at the joining part, wherein the inner surface of an ink ejection path for guiding the ink ejected by the ink supply pump to the ink channel, is provided with the liquid repellent property at least in the vicinity of the ejection opening so as to repel the color ink. |
