PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a preform positioning device for surely positioning a preform in a circumferential direction before a blowing cavity mold is clamped. SOLUTION: The preform positioning device positions the preform 28 in the circumferential direction in the case of clamping the blowing cavity mold 114 and blow molding in a state in which the preform 28 is held by a conveying member. The device comprises a preform positioning means 52 for positioning the preform 28 by engaging the member with a groove 28e of a flange 28c formed on an outer periphery of a neck 28a of the preform 28 before clamping the mold 114 and maintaining the engaging state at least until the mold clamping is completed at a blowing mold clamping unit.
