PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide more stable tension through the whole of a printer including the downstream of a printing unit during the transfer between a white web mode and a printing mode. SOLUTION: When the printing unit is changed from the white web mode to the printing mode, paper feeding tension of a web between a paper feeding part and the printing unit is increased. When the printing unit is changed from the printing mode to the white web mode, paper feeding tension of the web is reduced.
