A window containing a plurality of glass layers 1, 4, 5 and at least one space between glass, through which space fresh air is conducted into a room, and for the fresh air flow there is a duct into the window from the interspace between the lower edge of the outer window 5, 8 and the lowermost frame beam 9, and filtering is further provided for the fresh air by means of a filter 10 placed at the lower edge of the window. The innermost glass pane is formed by a glass pane portion 1, which is fixed in an inner frame 6, and a portion 2, which opens and closes by swinging and is disposed in the fixed portion 1 with a hinge 3 or the like, which portion 2 forms the upper edge for the inner glass pane. <IMAGE>
