HEAD POSITIONING ASSEMBLY AND LOAD BEAM OF DATA STORAGE DEVICE USING THE SAME

PURPOSE: A head positioning assembly and a load beam of a data storage device using the same are provided to position correctly and rapidly a head to a data track by controlling accurately a position of the head for reading and writing information from a data storage medium including one or more rotary disc. CONSTITUTION: A slider support arm(28) is separated from an anchor structure(34) by a gap(32). A micro actuator includes the slider support arm(28). The first end portion(42) of a piezoelectric element(36) and a part adjacent to the first end portion(42) of the piezoelectric element(36) are connected with the slider support arm(28). The second end portion(44) of the piezoelectric element(36) and a part adjacent to the second end portion(44) of the piezoelectric element(36) are connected with the anchor structure(34) across the gap(32). A slider(22) is formed at an end portion of the slider support arm(28).
