PURPOSE: Provided are a ready-to-use composition for the oxidation dyeing of keratinous fibers, such as, human keratinous fibers, for example, hair, comprising, in a medium which is suitable for dyeing, at least one oxidation dye selected from pyridines of formula 1, and at least one enzymatic oxidizing agent, and an oxidation dyeing method for using the same. CONSTITUTION: The ready-to-use composition for the oxidation dyeing of keratinous fibers, comprises, in a medium suitable for dyeing (a) at least one oxidation dye selected from the pyridines of formula 1, and acid addition salts thereof; and (b) at least one enzymatic oxidizing agent selected from (i) a system comprising at least one 2-electron oxidoreductase and its corresponding at least one donor, (ii) at least one 4-electron oxidoreductase, and (iii) at least one peroxidase. In the formula 1, R1 is selected from a (C1-C4)alkyl group, a (C1-C4)monohydroxyalkyl group, and a (C2-C4)polyhydroxyalkyl group, R2 is selected from a (C1-C4)alkoxy group, a (C1-C4)monohydroxyalkoxy group, a (C2-C4)polyhydroxyalkoxy group, an amino group, a mono(C1-C4)alkylamino group, a di-(C1-C4)alkylamino group, a monophenylamino group, a monohydroxyphenylamino group, a monoalkoxyphenylamino group, a monohydroxy(C1-C4)alkylamino group, a dihydroxy-(C1-C4)alkylamino group, a monohydroxy-(C2-C4)alkylamino group, a dihydroxy-(C2-C4)alkylamino group, a (C1-C4)alkylmonohydroxy-(C1-C4)alkylamino group and a (C1-C4)alkylpolyhydroxy(C2-C4)alkylamino group, R3 is selected from a hydrogen atom, an amino group, a mono(C1-C4)alkylamino group, a monohydroxy(C1-C4)alkylamino group and a mono(polyhydroxy(C2-C4)alkyl)amino group; provided that when R2 is selected form a (C1-C4)alkoxy group, a (C1-C4)monohydroxyalkoxy group and a (C2-C4)polyhydroxyalkoxy group, then R3 is a hydrogen atom.
