PURPOSE: A method and device for measuring a bit error rate in a digital communication system is provided to enhance measuring speed by testing receiver sensitivity. CONSTITUTION: The method is for measuring the receiver sensitivity of a communication terminal used for operation in a digital communication network. A test about whether a first reference is attained at a predetermined first data transfer speed(D) and a predetermined first receiving level is performed. The test is performed at a second data transmission speed(D') faster than the first data transmission speed(D) and at the first receiving level to test whether a second reference decided from the first reference is accomplished. Also, a testing device for performing the method is disclosed. |
