APPARATUS FOR CHANGING TAP HOLE LINER OF BASIC OXYGEN FURNACE AND CHANGE METHOD THEREOF

PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for changing a tap hole liner of a basic oxygen furnace are provided to quickly and surely remove the damaged tap hole liner or install new one. CONSTITUTION: The apparatus for changing a tap hole liner(24) of a basic oxygen furnace comprises a multi purpose movable vehicle(10), and a water cooled self-centering drill(12) separably attached to the multi purpose movable vehicle. Alternately, a tap hole liner installation guide is able to be separably attached to the multi purpose movable vehicle instead of the water cooled self centering drill. The water cooled self centering drill has a centering mandrel(44) that extends to the front side of the drill and has a diameter almost same with an inner diameter of the tap hole liner.
