LIQUID CRYSTAL POLYESTER RESIN COMPOSITION, METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE SAME AND ITS MOLDED PRODUCT

PURPOSE: To obtain a low-specific gravity liquid crystal polyester resin composition excellent in processability, mechanical characteristics and heat resistance and to provide a method for producing the resin composition and a molded product using the composition. CONSTITUTION: £1| This liquid crystal polyester resin composition comprises glass fibers providing 2-20μm number-average fiber diameter after molding and 210-500μm number-average fiber length after the molding in an amount of 5-20 pts.wt. based on 100 pts.wt. of a liquid crystal polyester resin comprising the following structural units(I), (II) and (III) or the following structural units(I), (II), (III) and (IV), composed of >=95 mol% of the sum total of the structural units(I), (II), (III) and (IV) and having >=25 GPa flexural modulus of elasticity when measurements of a test specimen having 0.5 mm thickness are carried out. The method for producing the liquid crystal polyester resin composition is obtained and the molded product uses the composition.
