APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR CORRECTING IMAGE EQUALITY IN ONE BIT GRAY OF LASER PRINTER

PURPOSE: An apparatus and method are provided to correct a size of a pixel in order to increase definition of the pixel when outputting one bit gray. CONSTITUTION: The first memory(12) stores halftone image data. The second memory(14) stores a look-up table which has current pixels having no influence on sizes of adjacent pixels. A controller(10) reads the half tone image data stored in the first memory(12) and calculates a size of a current pixel and sizes of pixels adjacent to the current pixel. The controller(10) searches and resets a size of the current pixel having the calculated sizes of the adjacent pixels from the look-up table. The third memory(16) stores a look-up table which has sizes of a current pixel according to sizes of adjacent pixels.
