PURPOSE: A belt type door opening and closing drive apparatus is provided to reduce the noise and dimensions thereof and make full use of the mechanical safety function in an accident. CONSTITUTION: The belt-type door opening and closing drive apparatus allows the output of a motor unit(2) to drive a belt(timing belt)(17), thereby opening and closing the door of an elevator cage or the like. Between the motor unit and the timing belt, interposed are planetary roller mechanisms(30,40) for transmitting power by the mutual rotation of sun rollers(31,41), a plurality of planetary rollers(32,42) supported rotatably by carriers(35,45) and circumscribing the sun rollers, and ring rollers(33,43) inscribed by the planetary rollers. The planetary roller mechanism receives the output from the motor unit and the output from the planetary roller mechanism is transmitted to the timing belt. |
