PURPOSE: To provide a head up display device suitable for a motorcycle. CONSTITUTION: An image 31 is made to exist in a region of a peripheral visual field 49, which is a region outside of a 90% central visual field 48. If the image 31 is placed outside of the 90% central visual field 48, it does not disturb riding, and if the image 31 is placed in the peripheral visual field 49, a rider notices the presence of the image 31 although vaguely. The image 31 is therefore placed in one peripheral visual field 49. With the image thus placed in the peripheral visual field, the rider can recognize the presence of the image while ensuring the front visibility of the rider, and the rider can be informed of the occurrence of matters to pay attention by the presence of the image.
