PURPOSE: To especially heighten the regenerative efficiency by heightening the responsiveness of a direct-coupled clutch by using an electromagnetic two- way clutch, and to heighten the degree of freedom for lay-out by reducing the axial length of a vehicle. CONSTITUTION: The electromagnetic two-way clutch 36 is disposed between a motor/power generator 2 and a planetary gear mechanism 21. A sun gear S of the planetary gear mechanism 21 is connected to the motor/power generator 2, a ring gear R is connected to an engine 1, a pinion carrier C is connected to the input side of a transmission 4, the sun gear S is connected to an inner ring 37 of the electromagnetic two-way clutch 36, and the pinion carrier C is connected to an outer ring 38. The electromagnetic two-way clutch 36 is disposed in a reduced diameter part of a partition 23 connected to a transmission case 24, and the interior and the motor/power generator 2 are sealed. |
