PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate easily visualize an abnormal spot by displaying the abnormal spot, while setting completely different values in color information of a LUT(look-up table) of normal places and abnormal places of a video memory. SOLUTION: A video memory testing and diagnosing device 2 for diagnosing the video memory of the graphic device provided with a LUT holding color values is provided with a means 21, which detects the abnormal place of the video memory by reading out arbitrary data written in the vide memory and by comparing data before writing with the data after the read out, a means 23 which registers an arbitrary color value in the LUT according to the arbitrary data and displays the color value a means 22 which registers a color value resulting from inverting the arbitrary color value to the LUT corresponding to the abnormal place of the memory and a means which displays the arbitrary color value and the inverted color value repeatedly and alternately.
