PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cell image analyzer and a cell image analyzing method capable of analyzing a cell image efficiently and with high reliability. SOLUTION: Wavelet transformation is performed to image data of the cell image obtained by picking up an image of cells of plants and animals, the transformed data divided into sub-bands is stored in a wavelet transformed data storage part 24. When decompression processing is performed to the transformed data to a restored image, intermediate data inversely transformed by an inverse wavelet transform means 25 is stored in a restored data storage part 26 on setting DC components to fixed values other than zero and setting low-frequency components as zero. Dendritic projections corresponding to specified frequency components in the cell image are extracted by processing the intermediate data by an analysis processing part 27. This, the dendritic projections of the cells of plants and animals are separated, extracted, quantized and recorded with high precision. |
