PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a square battery that prevents electroconductive foreign matters from creeping in so as not to give a fear for developing an internal short-circuit. SOLUTION: A plate group 1 is formed by laminating positive plate 2 and negative plate 3 via a separator 4, and side ends of the plates 2, 3 with opposite polarities are made to project respectively. Collectors 5, 6 are perpendicularly bonded to respective plates 2, 3 on both sides of the plate group 1, at least a check tape 7 is stuck between the collector 5 and the outermost plate 3 of the plate group 1 at the side ends that are not bonded to the collector 6, and the plate group 1 is inserted into an electric bath to be arranged. |
