PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate a phenomenon, such as the interrupt of the head of speech and the cut off of the connection signal of a selection signal, in a system where a digital 1 link exchanging the subscriber line of a digital sound signal and a repeating line through a highly efficient sound encoding/decoding device is repeating-exchanged. SOLUTION: In a repeating station digital exchange performing repeating and exchange by the transmission result of a selection signal, a signal, meaning pass-through decided by a pass-through means, which is decided previously, is turned on when an RBT detector 112 detects a ring back tone, a signal meaning 'on' is transmitted to a signal which recognizes the detection of the ring back tone, a switch signal is generated from an AND part 105, when the ring back tone is detected and a selector 107 is controlled. Thus, the digital 1 link repeating exchange system, where the transmission of the selection signal is not interrupted, even if operations are performed repeatedly for many times in a short time at one call time by bypassing encoding/decoding parts 101 and 102 is realized.
