PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To use bi-polar switching transistors in a high frequency switching regulator. SOLUTION: The first port is connected at the common connecting node of the collector of the first bi-polar transistor and the base of the second bi-polar transistor, and an inductor is provided as the second port connected at the emitter of the second transistor, thus the common connecting node of the emitter of the second transistor and the inductor forms the output terminal of this system.
