PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make economically and efficiently performable processing or operation concerning an abnormality of communications between a data communication device and a remotely managed device. SOLUTION: When a communication abnormality occurs in any one of image forming devices 1 to 5, the data communication device 7 detects the communication abnormality. The device 7 counts upper the generation frequency of the detected communication abnormality for every sort and stores the generation frequency of the counted communication abnormality of each sort in a non- volatile RAM as communication abnormality information together with the inherent ID of an image forming device to be communicated. The communication abnormality information stored in the RAM is transmitted to a central control device 6 periodically or on the basis of a request from the device 6. When any one of the generation frequency values of respective communication abnormality cases included in the communication abnormality information stored in the RAM reaches prescribed frequency, communication abnormality information including the generation frequency of the communication abnormality is returned to the device 6.
