METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR STORING CAD DATA FOR LONG TIME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a system which can store CAD data stably, securely, and easily for a long period. SOLUTION: This method has a step S1 for storing for a long period rules including a procedure for designing a converter for converting data regarding selected items into long-period stored data and a procedure for designing a viewer for displaying the converted long-period stored data on display devices of various computer systems as rules for prescribing as the long-period stored data the data obtained by selecting and converting specific items regarding contents to be stored for a long period among items included in various CAD software data for standard rules capable of converting various CAD software data depending upon various CAD software into text-based standard data, a step for generating the converter which converts desired CAD software data into the long-period stored data according to the mentioned rules and operates on a desired computer system, and a step S2 for converting the desired CAD software data into the long-period stored data by the converter and storing the data for a long period.
