PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To mount an access path and magnetic disks to obtain a proper load distribution. SOLUTION: Fiber channel loops 140 and 141 are arranged in a disk storage system 110. In the system, the connection bays 130-0 to 9 of the magnetic disks 120 are alternately connected to the fiber channel loops 140 and 141. Thus, number of the magnetic disks 120, which is equal in both loops, is adopted so that the load can be distributed in the loops.
