PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic money recovery system capable of efficiently recovering an IC card as lost 'electronic wallet' for a card owner himself or an issue origin institute without imposing a troublesome burden on the acquisitor or the issue origin institute. SOLUTION: At the time of acquiring an IC card in which money information (electronic money is recorded), the acquired IC card is inputted to terminal equipment set at a financial institute or a public institute or the like. At that time, information read from the acquired IC card is transmitted through a communication line to a center device, and information such as the destination of contact related with the original IC card owner is retrieved at the center device side, and the original IC card owner is informed that the recovery processing is executed by a communicating means such as a telephone, a document, or an electronic mail. In this case, the collecting efficiency can be improved by applying a reward amount preliminarily set corresponding to the amount to the acquisitor. Also, when it is judged that the amount is illegally withdrawn, information telated with the person who tries to withdraw the amount is recorded so that the early discovery of the illegal use can be achieved. |
