<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a damper that makes it possible to effectively prevent aeolian vibration of overhead conductors and fix a plumb to a steel stranded wire with reliability. SOLUTION: The damper includes a gripping portion 12 to be installed on an overhead conductor 1, and is provided with a steel stranded wire 11 that is supported on the gripping portion 12 and extends in the direction of the overhead conductor 1. A metallic body 16 having a cylindrical hole is installed at both the ends of the steel stranded wire 11 and receives the inserted steel stranded wire 11. The metallic bodies are compressed so that its contour is formed into a hexagon, and thereby attached to the steel stranded wire 11 by pressure. The damper is provided with plumbs 18 having a hexagonal hole 18a, which plumbs are fit onto the hexagonal metallic bodies 16 attached to both the ends of the steel stranded wire 11 by pressure so that torsional moment will be applied to the steel stranded wire 11 from both ends. The metallic bodies 16 are caulked by both the ends of the plumbs 18, and the plumbs bobs 18 are thereby fixed to the steel stranded wire 11.</p> |
