PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a supporting system for checking and verification which helps people who live alone, especially older people, to check security continuously and pleasantly before sleep. SOLUTION: The supporting system for checking and verification is structured by adding a function which makes a talking electronic clock 1 notify an urging message for checking and verification. On the RAM 13, user's expected-sleeping- time period is stored. When the user turns off TV, TV-off-sensor 21 putouts TV-off-signal S1. In the case CPU 11 catches the TV-off-signal S1 and judges the present time is in the expected-sleeping-time period, it makes the clock 1 alarm the urging message for checking and verification. Thus, the user can receive the urging message for checking and verification automatically and with good timing before sleep.
