PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide high voltage and ultrahigh voltage DC power cables. SOLUTION: High voltage and ultrahigh voltage DC power cables are provided with an extruded polymerized insulator which consists of materials containing styrene. In the above-mentioned cable the materials of the insulator 4 comprise a mixture of hydrogenated block copolymer of polyethylene and styrene, and of antioxidant. A mass content of styrene is 11-18%, which features no cross-link of the materials. The cable is suitable for use as DC power cables.
