PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and method for providing a three-dimensional model electronic catalog capable of interactively providing a three-dimensional shape model. SOLUTION: In this system constituted of a user terminal and an electronic catalog server and a three-dimensional model data base server, the three- dimensional model shape data of merchandise or merchandise combination which is not carried in the three-dimensional model catalog of merchandise to be transmitted from the electronic catalog server to the user terminal are obtained by a three-dimensional shape measuring device set in the three- dimensional model data base server, and the three-dimensional model shape data are provided from the electronic catalog server to the user terminal. Thus, it is possible for a user to arbitrarily select the constitution of intended merchandise, and to obtain the three-dimensional data of the selected merchandise constitution in a reading frame on the user terminal whether the merchandise constitution is preliminarily carried in the catalog or not. |
