PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a merchandise takeout port device for an automatic vending machine, by which a merchandise is easily taken-out from a merchandise takeout port and the existence of putting-in/out the merchandise to/from the takeout port and the opening/closing state of the takeout port are surely detected in accordance with the opening/closing of a takeout port door. SOLUTION: The device is provided with the merchandise takeout port 30, with a merchandise receiver 32 which is provided with a front wall 41 on its front surface, arranged in the lower part of the port 30 and constituted so as to be freely rotatable between an erected standby position and a takeout position which is projected forward and inclined toward a front upper part to receive the carried-out merchandise S, the takeout port door 33 which is constituted to open/close a part upper than the merchandise receiver 32 of the takeout port 30 by rotation with an upper end part as a center and rotated while keeping a gap L with a front wall 41 to be less than a prescribed distance and also keeping the merchandise takeout port 30 to be in a clogged state linked with the rotation of the merchandise receiver 32 between the standby position and the takeout position and with a detecting means 34 for detecting whether the gap L between the takeout port door 33 and the front wall 41 is equal to or more than the prescribed distance or not.
