PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To permit a main control part to set the transmission right of a terminal control part in an automatic vending machine in which communication is performed in a contention system by the main control part and the terminal control part. SOLUTION: When a power source is supplied to the automatic vending machine, the main control part 1 initializes respective parts in accordance with the decoding result of an initializing instruction from a ROM and successively transmits a first kind of or a third kind of control data to a plurality of button control parts 202 via a data input/output line 10 in the form of an electronic message. Then the button control parts 202 are set to be in a state where the transmission right is held or not concerning the main control part 1 based on the latch result of the first or the third kind of control data.
