PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data imprinting device capable of switching the size of data to be imprinted in accordance with the switching of an image plane for imprinting the data and made advantageous in terms of cost in a camera capable of switching the size of a photographic image plane. SOLUTION: This camera is constituted of a photographing optical system being a photographing lens 8, a display body part having a lamp light source 2, a reflection mirror 3, a condenser lens 4 and a liquid crystal display body 5 or the like, and an image plane switching mechanism part having a mask for switching an image plane A11 holding the objective lens 6 and the total reflection mirror 7 of an imprinting image-formation optical system and a mask B22 positioned to be opposed to the mask A11. As for data imprinting action, the imprinting optical system such as the objective lens 6 or the like is moved interlocked with the up-and-down movement of the mask B22 and the data to be imprinted is formed on film 9.
