PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooling block which has enough heat-dissipating ability to apply to an LD device of continuous oscillation with high power and which is short enough to be suitable for minimization of a cross section of channel, and thus to provide an LD device which mounts the cooling block and a solid- state laser device which uses the cooling block as the excitation light source. SOLUTION: A cooling block 17 is provided with three channels 21, which have long hole shaped cross-sections and are slant to a lateral plate 17c, and is placed so as to be next to an LD element 18 being fixed to the lateral plate 17c, and the LD element 18 whose exothermic is removed by cooling water running in the channels 21. The cross section of an entrance manifold channel is twice or more of that of the cooing block channels, the internal surface of the cooling block channels is made irregular, and a chamfer is conducted or curvature is set at the entrance of the cooling channels. |
