PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyester-base film for capacitor and a winding type capacitor which can satisfy requirements such as down-sizing and reduction of weight and cost of an electric device, give an external facing function to a polyester film as a dielectric without increasing size and weight of external facing material, have an excellent adhesion due to thermal adhesive resin, and produce no blocking trouble. SOLUTION: This polyester-based film for capacitor contains a polyester film and an amorphous polyester-based copolymerized resin layer which is laminated at least on one surface of the polyester film. The surface roughness Rt/Ra of the thermal adhesive resin layer is >=4 and <13 according to micro- map measurement, and a static friction factor of one surface and the other surface of the film is 0.60 or less and its dynamic friction factor is 0.05 or less.
